Unleashed Djinni - Rabasa

A Djinni that has lived in a long-since discarded trinket at the bottom of the University’s vaults. A student, delving through the old rubble beneath the new buildings, found the bottle, opening it and unwittingly causing a small calamity. Rabasa is a Djinni of tricks and monkey-paw wishes, and is causing havoc across the school. Should he not be stopped, he may cost someone their life.

An aspect of Maethromin that was given as a gift to the Emperor of Draksborne when the Elemi first arrived on Tharador. The Djinni, who only provided cursed wishes that backfired upon the emperor, was seen ultimately as an insult, and instead of using the final wish, it was bottled up and sent to the University of Canos for research and evaluation, with hopes the jinxed elements of its wishes might be overridden. For centuries, it has sat in the University vaults, forgotten until recently when an unsuspecting student happened upon the bottle, accidentally releasing the Dijinni.

As vengeance, the creature, rather than destroying the University, has been using its powers to sow chaos across the campus. Gravity inverted in the middle of class, students forgetting their mother tongues and only able to speak in Goblin-tongue. Though the pranks are growing more dire, with a student recently having their legs broken after being overhead complaining about the walk up the stairs to the observatory. The Proctors are now seeking outside help from brave students to find and contain the creature, and return it to its bottle.
