In the dangerous wastelands of the post-apocalypse, like-minded individuals often band together for survival, whether to form communities, or to raid and ravage said communities to take their stuff. These raiders have taken to venerating the many dangerous insects that roam the lands, going so far as to capture and tame them for use as beasts of war, and dressing in bug-themed outfits using insect chiten as armor and weapons. The most valued warriors get real chitin weapons and armor, while lesser scrubs often have to settle for cheap metal imitations. A few lucky leaders have scavenged technological weapons and armor that also happens to keep with the bug theme. Most of the SECT (like ‘insect’, get it?) are pure-strain humans, but a few mutants have been accepted into the ranks…usually those with bug-like mutations.
The InSECT Raiders favor fast hit-and-run raids, and often ride Centisteeds or giant Radroaches in their attacks.
This listing is for a model of one of the Riding Roaches that the InSect Raiders ride into battle! This ginormous radroach has been designed to fit the same saddle that fits the Centisteed model, so any models that contain mounted versions designed to fit the Centisteed (such as all the InSECT Raiders) will also fit on the Riding Roach! No rider is included with this listing, but an empty saddle is provided, so that you can show when the rider is not on the roach.
The Mutant Mayhem Minis line of figures was designed for Mutant Crawl Classics RPG, but also go great with DCC, Gamma World, D&D or any game that uses 28mm minis.

The InSECT Raiders were sculpted after I created my Centisteed model by suggestion from a Tribe member, and I figured I needed some guys to ride it! Now it has taken on a life of its own and the Riding Roach is the first of the other beasts that these guys might ride and train!
