My recommendation: This system is optimized for these clips using 5mm ball magnets. It requires an investment in ball magnets. Inserting the magnets is a one-time task that you can easily do during a movie night or two. After that, you’ll have a system that lets you assemble setups just like LEGO. TIP:
Depending on your Scaling you should try the Clips for Downscaling or Upscaling
(all 3 Clips optimized for 5mm ball magnets)

-> use "C_SOCKET-CLIP_80downscaling.stl" printing at 80% scale
-> use "C_SOCKET" printing at 100% scale
-> use "C_SOCKET-CLIP_120upscaling.stl" at 100% scale

My own clips: Not suitable for modular setups. Designed for permanent setups in combination with adhesive. There are also adapter clips available to connect to SOCKETS or OpenLOCK.
