Junkies are a blur of motion, and most likely have blurred vision too. A Junkie is fed a smorgasbord of drugs to make them the quickest striking fighter in NEXUS. These drugs also leave them very weak. Originally frowned upon and made illegal by the INC when the drugs were first introduced by Gnoems, they have since been accepted and their use even encouraged as the INC realized fighter safety was of no concern to anyone.
When fighting a Junkie, their opponent always runs the risk of contamination. It would be impossible for a Junkie to last an entire bout without a fix. The fighter will usually have any number of needles ready to go and hidden all over its person. With that in mind it is probably a good idea to not Grapple them.
