Roacguls are better known across the D-Verse as “barge rats.” Unsanctioned barges across the Nexus are infested with these little shits. These creatures, lacking any kind of common sense (let alone the intelligence for space travel), were undoubtedly stowaways on some more evolved organism’s spacecraft. This theory is given more credibility since they have hidden themselves, reproducing at an alarming rate, inside of every unsanctioned barge. These bottom feeders run about the barge trying to pick fights, terrorizing fans and helots alike. Their small size, aptitude for hiding, and aggressive nature make them a problem too costly for an unsanctioned barge owner to manage.

Roacguls suffer from a terrible case of Napoleon Complex and are always looking for a fight. They can usually be seen roaming the barges in small packs looking for anyone to make eye contact while yelling “You talking to me!?” Since they pose no threat, the fans enjoy the added pleasure of watching their toddlers chasing roacguls around the barges and killing them. It isn’t uncommon to see a child holding a roacgul’s lifeless body up with pride and screaming, “Look, Mommy, I got one!”

Sometimes a large group of them will organize and find their way onto the barge arena floor. Carrying disregarded or stolen weapons, they storm the arena looking to take out a helot and prove that they aren’t to be trifled with! They are aggressive, motivated, and brave little shits. However, their tiny stature and lack of physical dexterity make them little more than a nuisance to helots during a barge bout. If they do survive a myriad of floor saws and other barge hazards and actually reach their target, they tend to just bounce off the helot flying like a bead of sweat being whipped from its brow.

With the lack of Spleen Team presence during unsanctioned barge bouts, you will at times see a swarm of roacguls standing atop a defeated and decomposing helots body claiming victory over their imaginary opponent and chanting, “Rudy!” It is a quite adorable and touching scene, if you are into that kind of thing.
