Description

Vast War-Machines, the Arch-Aditae share a name with their smaller brethren but far eclipse them in power: bearing weapon systems capable of turning a battle or cracking open the toughest defences and in possession of a chassis whose durability matches that of a Needle’s exterior plating. Requiring huge resources to construct, the true limiting factor to the propagation across the galaxy is the core spark that lurks in all examples: a sliver of its parent-world’s Needle serves as foundation around which the rest is built, thereby giving the Arch-Aditae access to some of the N-field properties inherent to the material. This core also acts as home for the Arch-Aditae’s advanced war-construct: self-aware intelligences that do much of the system management and data collection; indeed in the oldest Arch-Adiate these war-constructs become synonymous with the engine and their identities often eclipse that of their pilots to the outside viewer; their inner corridors lined with the countless names of crew long dead but the machine still living and breathing under the one same intelligence. The form of this core varies depending on which world the Arch-Aditae was ‘born’ on: In the Hierachy it is usually a votive statue depicting Vestalia herself, a gilded bowl of everburning golden flames or even a gilded eagle in flight; In the twilight realms of Dis, blades are the most common core: huge monochrome weapons plunged seemingly into the command decks. Others can be stranger still: trees of living metal that gradually cover the inner rooms with roots of pale silver, complex otherworldly geometry that hangs suspended, or in the most ancient and advanced Arch Aditae, a living seeming sentient that wanders the halls and can for small amounts of time leave it’s nest to greet the outside.

The Priest-class is perhaps the most ubiquitous of the Arch-Aditae: not the smallest, but the most versatile. When a new Needle is plunged into the fabric of reality and it’s garrison assembled, it is often the looming forms of the Priest-class that stride forth first onto the soil of nearby planets and who often watch over the blooming pockets of civilization as they take their first halting steps.

The priest class Aditae stands approximately 400mm tall. This kit contains just the core chassis, and the weapons can be bought separately as and when they are finished.

The pieces are mostly hollowed where possible and come presupported in both .stl and .lys forms.

I have tested the presupports on a GKtwo with elegoo basic 8k resin

BUILDING ADVICE

I would recommend building the legs without gluing the joints to start, instead just glue the pins. This will allow you to get a nice stable pose before gluing the feet and hips followed by both knees.

Insert your arms before gluing on the shoulder armour, but after putting on the ‘shoulder brace L/R’.

I leave the shoulder pistons unglued so I can pose it when it is all built and then glue them when satisfied.

Do not glue the elbow joints unless you really want to, they should just slot in and allow for easy addition and removal of weapons.

I would not say it was a complicated build, but it is a long one, so take it slow.
