She was a goddess of blood. Blood to her was raw material. Blood was a faithful servant. Blood served her every wish. She could make blood assume any form. She could forge it with needles, blades, maces. The blood obeyed her commands. A soldier who approached her with a single scratch through which his blood escaped, even if only in a tiny drop, was doomed. Through this drop, she would get the blood to mutate from serving the flesh to serving the goddess.
