The sweltering festering jungles of the Pronglands provide no sanctuary, even for the large predatory denizens that call it home. For those who have broken free of the Opticans oppressive grip, escaped the system and sought safe-haven in these lands even less-so. In the heart of the jungle there is an existence fraught with danger, peril and 'the Rust', a heavily seated corruption that not only erodes the outer layer but penetrates deep into the cortex and turns even the more hardwired pod into a raving savage lunatic.
In the beginning when numbers were contained there was little to fear from the small communities that banded together in the shadow of the Pronglands, but as time grew the mile long caravans of refugees from the 'War That Never Ends' fed the furnace of the Prong until it had become an obese insane asylum, harboring some of the vilest fugitives Destron had ever known.
Organised cadres of smugglers, bandits and Ne-er-do-wells now strike out from their jungle fortresses to raid local settlements and capture 'recruits' to serve as fodder for their militant scheming. To combat this growing threat Rigger High Command commissioned the stoic Modbots to establish forward operating bases around the perimeters of the Prongs eastern flanks veterans. These veterans, having fought in theaters as far as Freighter Ridge are hardened experts in counter insurgency and although few in number are the force multiplier needed to at least contain the growing emergency.
Utilising a small wing of their own custom Rotorcans, the Tink-AR Modbots are able to function as an effective fire brigade, dispatching to insurgent hotspots to surgically eliminate 'the Rusted' before its spread. Operating in small self contained teams, the Prongs Modbots affectionately known as 'the Junglers' rope into the canopy under the cover of smoke and darkness to embark on grueling combat patrols that take them deep into darkest Prong where they systematically hunt and eradicate any sign of Rust infestation.
The Jungler mission is clear, but against overwhelming numbers and the Rust their task is a futile one that is grudgingly accepted as the 'War That Never Ends' rolls ever on and on...
This realease contains the 'Snort' a close support Guncan capable of laying down a serious barrage of pod smashing fire, the 'Sled' battle taxi Troopcan that facilitates the landing or roping in of Jungler teams into the Pronglands dark clutches and the 'Snatch' extraction bird.
In addition it contains skid-riders and a four POD Jungler Chromando Recon team with both Supported and Unsupported options
