Aeroboot Command Detachment GRUMP disappeared from the Rigger Command Interface over a decade ago during a redeployment over the western Pronglands when a Clanker-origin signal compromised navigation and diverted the Aerothopper fleet into an anomalous vortex, resulting in total loss of contact and presumed destruction. In reality, a small number of personnel survived the crash, scattered across a dense and hostile jungle environment characterized by extreme heat, limited visibility, aggressive flora, and anomalous interference phenomena. Under Captain Krong, survivors consolidated, salvaged functional equipment from wreckage, and established a self-sustaining combat element, including improvised vehicles assembled from transport debris. Operating without Interface support, GPS, or resupply, the unit conducts localized operations from concealed positions, deploying small detachments for patrol, supply raids, salvage recovery, and direct-action engagements against Clanker forces operating in the region. GRUMP remains active, unaccounted for, and outside all formal command structures.
