Once part of a towering bastion that guarded the approaches to a forgotten citadel, this fragment now juts from the scorched ground like the jawbone of a dead titan. Its smoothed platforms and fractured supports hint at weapons and watchtowers long since torn away by orbital fire. Soldiers whisper that the bastion remembers every assault it endured; those who shelter behind its broken walls swear they can feel a phantom shield flare to life whenever the guns begin to roar again.
