Monumental Futuristic Stairs In Ruins

Once these sweeping stairs bore processions of priests, officers, and envoys up to a sealed gateway in the side of a titanic structure that pierced the clouds. Now fractured plates and jutting shards have turned the ascent into a gauntlet of unstable footing and hidden kill-zones where ambushers thrive. Legends claim that those who reach the top during a lightning storm can see the upper tiers of the lost city flicker back into phase, as if the ruins remember the shape of the world they once ruled.
