The Order of Saint Lazarus emerged in the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem, where its brothers became closely associated with the care of those suffering from leprosy. Over time, the community developed into a religious and military order, bringing together the ideals of the medieval warrior and the obligations of a monastic brotherhood. Disease and mortality were an unavoidable part of their world, giving the Order of Saint Lazarus a character unlike any of the other military orders of the Crusades.
This figure depicts a brother of the Order whose own body has begun to succumb to disease. His face and exposed hand bear its marks, while exhaustion has reduced his stance to a painful effort simply to remain upright. His sword has become a support beneath his weight and his helmet hangs loosely from his lowered arm. He remains armed, armored, and standing, carrying the green cross of Saint Lazarus even as his strength begins to fail.
The 32 mm edition focuses on the knight himself and is designed for tabletop gaming, collecting, and painting at gaming scale. The figure retains the character, equipment, shield, and physical storytelling of the larger editions in a compact format suitable for the tabletop.
Included files: The 32 mm Knight of St. Lazarus is supplied as a solid model in both supported and unsupported STL versions. Files are prepared for resin 3D printing.
