---DESCRIPTION OF STORYLINE---
Unnatural habitat
The PCs meet a deep gnome inventor who helps them to descend into the crater that the Progenitor left in its wake when it crash-landed in the Raggen Mountains. Deep beneath the ice-capped peak, they must make their way through a system of flooded caverns. The PCs find that the creatures who dwelled in those caves have already been de-evolved by the Progenitor’s magical aura, leading to encounters with ravenous dinosaurs that now live in those dark waters as well as the inhabitants of a goblin village who changed into an earlier evolutionary form, until finally stealing the Progenitor itself from a dragon’s hoard.
Unnatural Habitat is the eighth part of the Mini Monster Mayhem campaign, but it can also be played as a self-contained module for four 6th-level characters. It includes a new Ranger subclass that allows players to have characters specifically designed for underwater exploration.
