Description
Titanis walleri, commonly known as the "terror bird," was a fearsome flightless bird that roamed North America during the Pliocene epoch.
Standing up to 9 feet tall, with a powerful beak and long, agile legs, Titanis was a formidable predator.
Belonging to the Phorusrhacidae family, these avian giants were among the largest terrestrial birds ever to exist.
With vestigial wings and a keen sense of sight, Titanis likely pursued and seized prey with its powerful beak.
