Description
Nodosaurus textilis was an armored dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 110-90 million years ago.
This medium-sized herbivore, approximately 20 feet in length, was characterized by its heavy, protective body armor composed of bony plates and spines, which provided defense against predators.
Unlike some of its relatives, Nodosaurus lacked a tail club.
Its fossils have been found in North America, offering significant information about the diversity and adaptation of ankylosaurid dinosaurs.
