Hey guys I've finally had time to finish this beauty :D
I saw a lot of believers terrain pieces like crosses, bunkers etc. However I've wondered what would happen to those pieces once the heretics win and take over the battlefield, Would they destroy them or corrupt them as a sacrifice for their masters?
I've came up with an idea that if the Cult of the Black Grail would get his hands on one of my previous projects 'Faith Will Protect Us Statue' They would turn into an abomination that would be a place of worship for their believers as well as a home of disease and parasites.
Since that statue had some mystical powers I thought it would make sense that the mutations and growth that would occur on the statue would be more vast and random therefore I've packed this model with a lot of different details.
I thought it would make sense that they would grow some sort of a nest for the flies to be born therefore I've created eggs and maggots, one large one to be the queen which can be seen feeding little maggots which are reaching out with their mouth like baby birds when being fed by their mother.
Two of the Maws would be used as a 'furnace' whereas the fuel are the bodies of both the enemies and the worshipers that would be used to produce the nectar of the Black Grail. The tip of the nose of the front face resembles a grail in shape, filled with the said nectar that can be drank by its worshipers.
The multiple eyes are used by the Beelzebub and its generals/heralds to watch over the battlefield and the spreading of the infection to the world which is the Black Grail.
Overall I hope I made the Papa Beelzebub proud and you guys will enjoy this design as much as I enjoyed sculpting it :D
I will highly reccommend to upscale this model by at least 40% as it adds extra fear effect to it as none of the soldiers would like to see huge monstrosity like this on a battlefield :D
