Greatswords Landsknecht

The Greatswords of Rabenstadt are the city’s most famous mercenaries, swore to the noble houses of the barons. Selected from the strongest and most experienced warriors, they use large two-handed swords able to break shields and armor with one blow. Their fame comes somewhat from their strength, but more for the spectacle: bright tights and colorful flags waving in battle as an open challenge to the enemy. They are loyal solely to the coin of the barons and are emblematic of their patrons’ wealth and power: simply showing up was often enough to intimidate an enemy and motivate an ally.
