Ziari

The Ziari, meaning "the people of Zyiara" in their own language, form the backbone of her majesty's court. Serpentine beings fully adapted to the aquatic habitat of the queen's palace, they serve as servants, explorers, advisors, guardians, and warriors. Descendants of the surface lineage, once dwellers who were coastal fishermen devoted to their queen and people, before the ambition of other land-walkers drove them into the depths of the sea.
