During the 5th and 4th Centuries (from the period of the Persian invasion to the end of the Peloponnesian wars), the Trireme was the workhorse of the Hellas fleets. This state of the art weapon was a real engineering achievement and the secret to construct them remained the most precious value to most Greek city States. With a very valuable heavy bronze ram (or Embolo) in its bow, they were capable of splitting enemy ships in half managed and sailed by professional oarsmen and very capable captains (Trierarchs)
Designed by Dankaiminiatures, this set is optimised for UV resin printing and is supplied fully supported at 1/300 scale.
The set includes options for open and folded mainsails, the very effective jib sail upgrade option, the Mastery Flag to indicate the game proficiency of the ship's crew and a selection of basic crew stands (representing the armed oarsmen) when launching a boarding action.
The crew stands can be upgraded with the fleet sector to Hoplites, Marines (Epibatai) and skilled archers (Toxotai) as well as several different engines of war like Monagons and Oxybeles (sold separately).
The set also comes with four different bow figureheads (horns) and four different stern decorations (tail) and a selection of deck clutter like amphorae, boxes and other decorative elements to make each ship different before printing.
