Hellenistic Naval War is a naval miniatures skirmish game influenced by the ancient world of Hellas during the Classical period when the war galleys dominated the naval conflicts, and more specifically inspired by some of the greatest campaigns and invasions of this epoch: the Peloponnesian War, the Persian Wars, and the Punic Wars. While taking vast inspiration from these events in the ancient past, described to us by some of the most talented literary artists like Apollonius of Rhodes and Homer, and placing the stage of its theatre of war in the historically rich region of the world pictured above, Hellenistic Naval War is a perennial, non-historical wargame that utilises the sprawling classical events as a set up for games with no historical restriction.
