Son of a lesser noble from the North, Felix lost everything during Dragonblight. He has endured, however. Completing his studies despite the adversity, and the loss of his parents, funding and home. Compassionately, the University of Canos offered him employment when he completed his studies in a bid to pay them back. Thus he is now contracted to five years working under the Proctors of the university, providing security and overwatch to threats within and outside the campus.
Hailing from the city of Delechor, Felix’s family came from noble stock, his uncle the Count of Delechor. His family was one focused more on politics and intrigue than battle or matters of the arcane. Felix, however, longed to be a knight in the army, inspired by tales of valour from centuries ago, during the time of the Draksborne Empire. Yet, when his arcane acuity was discovered, his parents immediately called for him to be sent to the University of Canos, knowing what dangers might rear from an unchecked arcane warrior.
Whilst Felix first hated the University, and Canos, it became his second home in time. There he found friendship, and his first love, Anthelia, a fellow student. Their young love blossomed quickly, and Felix found himself preparing to propose, hoping that they might soon be wedded by the time their studies had concluded. He purchased a ring from a jeweler, though before he could ask for her hand, the city was engulfed by the plague of Dragonblight. The two were separated in the initial hours of the outbreak, with Felix trapped in the university, his life saved by Big Hat Harrison. To this day, he has never known where Anthelia was, and he never found her after. Any who contracted the disease were gone beyond recognition. Yet he knew in his heart, she was dead. He only hoped her suffering was short.
The news only became worse, when word reached that his whole family had perished as well: mother, father, uncle, brothers and sister. All gone. No more gold was coming from home, to pay for his board, his tuition, his food. When Headmistress Delacour heard of his case after coming aboard, she waived the remainder of his fees, on the condition that when he completed his studies, he would accept an offer of employment among the Battlemages of the University, serving the Proctors in its defense and security. In this way, he could pay the school back. Gratefully, he accepted, and now he has finally completed his studies, his new life as an employee of the school begins. Yet he feels the hole left at his side. A ring he still carries in his jacket pocket, for hope that he might one day see Anthelia again by a miracle, and ask her the question he has been dying to for almost two years. This was the time when they would be wed, in his mind, and now he must face it alone.
