This set includes 4 knight casualties of early 15th century knights.
Crossbows were very effective against armoured knights, giving the common man a weapon capable of piercing the protection of both nobles and professional soldiers. A well placed crossbow bolt could pierce the weak spots left exposed by plate harness, particularly when fired from an elevated position within the wagon fort. The crossbow’s strength and accuracy, combined with the safety of the Wagenburg’s cover, neutralized much of the advantage of heavy cavalry, forcing the Hussite's enemies to approach under constant threat and often dismount to continue the fight on foot.
