A powerful Selvaneri wrought of bone and coursing with Minera’s Breath. It is seen as a bringer of end times, a marker only used in times of peril. Looking upon its ghastly visage for too long has driven even the most hardened men to insanity, and driven lesser men to their deaths. Now it is deployed in a battle against the forces of Nosmarka, aiming to strengthen the armies of the Tharameni through its boundless divine magic.

A High Selvaneri of Namneri, the sight of Morius is a ghastly visage to behold. Its depiction upon artwork in Namneri’s temples alone is enough to frighten a small child, yet those unfortunate enough to lay their bare eyes upon are often overcome with terror or madness soon after. Its form is a memento of death, a reminder of the mortality of those who walk the mortal plane, and the inevitable end they all must face. For some, this terror and existential dread becomes too much to bare. It pervades the dreams of the desperate, and enthralls the minds of those who might think they can escape death’s embrace, the great equaliser of all Elves, Men and every race between.

Yet now its place above Sundestra is a grievous marker, a place where death’s grasp has strangled almost all life within the city; a place where tens of thousands of lives were snuffed out in the unbridled pride of a manic Man who thought himself above death’s embrace, and above the Tharameni. It was here that Namneri’s Chalice was hoisted away, stolen, corrupted and destroyed. Now Morius guards the site where it is to be repaired, its horrific form deterring any interlopers who might think to sabotage the holy vessel’s reconstruction.

Its support of the Selvaneri and the devoted servants of the Church of the Tharameni is essential to the effort, and will ensure that anything short of an all-out attack by Mindoriel’s Spawn would fail.
