A Dragon trapped and studied as part of Project Glass Ceiling. Uncovered from an unmarked island south of Baldur, Kuriazor was sedated and brought back to Grimhelm where he was buried in the laybrinthine depths beneath the Lion’s Den Citadel. There, alongside a plethora of other experiments, the dragon was the subject of a plethora of studies and experiments, in hopes the creature could be controlled via psionic energy. With the recent rebel attacks, the project was postponed until the political climate cooled, though now with the siege of Grimhelm, the dragon may see its first attempt at combat deployment.

Few creatures live to see empires rise and fall. Kuriazor had seen many. Hatched in an age before Baldur bore a name, he slumbered for centuries beneath an unmarked island, his body entwined in roots, time marching idly by, unwitting to the dragon’s slumber. His dreams were of fire and flight, but the world had forgotten dragons. He was content to let it. That was, until he was discovered by the Men of Baldur. The men of Project Glass Ceiling.

Armed with steel, sorcery, and psionic dampeners, they did not come to slay, but to capture. When they reached into his mind: groping, probing, trying to unmake a being of old  into something they could control, he roared, and the cliffsides split. But Kuriazor was ancient, not invincible. The sedatives worked. The chains held. They took him from his island and dragged him into the depths of Grimhelm.

There, beneath the Lion’s Den Citadel, he was buried in darkness, another specimen in the labyrinthine bowels where men played as gods. They did not kill him. Rather he became just another in a long list of experiments.

After Baldur’s numerous rebellions and an ever growing list of failed experiments, Project Glass Ceiling was abandoned. Kuriazor’s captors turned their attention elsewhere. The dampeners still hummed, the sigils still burned, but for the first time in decades, he was left alone. And alone, he began to chains weakened. The psionic bonds frayed. The leash they had woven around his mind was neglected: stretched thin by years of decay. It too began to break. Now, as the siege of Grimhelm looms, the ruling generals grow desperate. The project was never meant to be unleashed, but they have no choice. Kuriazor will be unleashed. Whether as a weapon of Baldur or its reckoning, remains to be seen.
