A 28mm scale large, gnarly, moss-covered tree trunnk, perfect for any tabletop RPG.

Pre-supported and unsupported files included. A non-hollow version is also included for use with FDM printers; no supports are needed for FDM. 

This is just a cool-looking, gnarly old tree to use as scatter terrain in your rpgs or wargames. It’s got great textures and paints up very easy using simple techniques. A great feature is the flat area of the broken-off top: this is a perfect place to put an elevated attacker’s model! 

Dark-Platypus Studio specializes in making models for role-playing game enthusiasts. Our models are designed to be printed in 28mm scale, the perfect size for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or other games that are often played on a 1” grid. They are also designed to stand up to actual tabletop use: no ridiculous spindly bits that look awesome but are going to break the first time someone sneezes. Paintability and ease of assembly are also important concerns to our design aesthetic.  

This tree was sculpted to serve as a background model for my Dragon Frog kickstarter a few years ago, but it also immediately found a home in our tree collection of RPG terrain. It has not been offered for general sale before, and is currently only available for 3D printing! 
All Dark-Platypus Studios models are sculpted by sculptor Andrew K. Barlow (me), and no AI is ever involved. All models have been checked for errors and test-printed.
