The Foul Crawler, a large, slithering creature formed out of an enlarged leech-pox tadpole that consumed a great quantity of critters and human remains. These beings originated from the first few trials of the Leechpox treatment, were deemed a failure by Balthazar Morris and promptly dumped into the sewers. However, amidst the filth, the rot, and the decay, these beings thrived and evolved into the horrors they’ve become.
Crawling beneath the heavy layers of dense toxic clouds, slithering and climbing through the dark, unseen ceilings, they prey upon any unfortunate creature, living or undead, that crosses their path. Although they appear mindless, a fair bit of instinctive strategy governs their behavior. They follow a peculiar sewer-hierarchy, bringing living offerings every now and then, and even offering themselves, to some foul abomination that resides deep within the tunnels.
These creatures, twisted by their environment and the experiments that created them, serve as both predators and servants in the dark, twisted ecosystem of the Pitchborough’s sewers. Their presence is a constant reminder of the grotesque failures of Morris Inc. and the unchecked horrors lurking beneath in the mad genius’ quest for progress at any price.
