With immense territory and relatively few soldiers to defend it, Dragoon tactics often involve the use of field emplacements to create a safe zone to sally forth from or as an anvil to trap opposing forces against. Many of these emplacements make use of turrets and weapons deemed impractical for regular field use, but valuable or useful enough not to completely scrap.
The Illumination Projector is a powerful laser-based searchlight originally intended for the Kli-San tank. Capable of conventional illumination, disorienting strobe effects, and even brief operation as a high-powered ‘laser shotgun’, the weapon was deemed too fragile for regular field use, but had potential in the defensive role. While some IP tanks still exist in specialized units, the majority have found a home as part of defensive networks, usually in standalone turret emplacements.
Beginning as an effort to upgun the Dague tankette, the M.227 heavy gun turret manages to cram the heavy cannons available to the Kli-San tanks into a much smaller package. Predictably, crew ergonomics and ammunition storage suffered greatly, with the crew pressed up against the turret sides to stay clear of the gun breech and only a handful of rounds available. Using the turret in a fixed position mitigates some of these flaws, however, and it was decided to continue production of the turret for fortification use and for further testing on other vehicles with similar turret rings to the Dague.

The weapons have magnet holes in case you want to swap weapons after assembly. You’ll need 3mm (⅛”) x 1mm rare earth magnets if you choose to take advantage of them.
The small turret bunker has ten different gun options (similar to the Kli-San's main gun options), while the large turret bunker has a standard gun mount with twenty-seven different weapon options.
The shape of the bunkers is designed to allow their use with the barricades from my ‘Krevarian Checkpoint’ set. You should be able to create a reasonable fortification network by combining the two sets.
The small turret bunker shares a turret ring size with many of my other vehicles - you can use this new turret with them, or bring over other turrets from those kits. At the time of publication, this includes: Ammit, Dague, Rondache, Heracle, Aegis, and Caracal.
The large turret bunker also shares a turret ring size with many of my other vehicles - Kli-San (all versions), Crocodile/Alligator/Caiman, Cerberus/Lindwurm, Kortenear, Banckard, Baselard, and Kaskara.
This kit is presupported, but also includes unsupported STLs for those who want to print in FDM or would prefer to handle their own supports.
