An older dock foreman stands slightly side-on, one leg set back as he surveys the loading area. He holds a loading manifest or clipboard against his thigh, with his other hand behind his back. His lowered, turned head gives him a watchful supervisory role. Period clothing includes a flat cap, waistcoat, shirt, tie and knee-length work coat. Suitable for 1920s harbour scenes, freight yards, warehouses, railway goods depots and industrial dioramas.
