The domain of The Comet Lord is home to many nightmarish creatures twisted by their eldritch master. One the greatest of these creatures is The Stareater.

Outside the domain of Set, these creatures usually lurk in the dark between stars. One can assume by their namesake, the dark is due to them slowly consuming the light of a star. There are rifts in the astral sea between realms that can pull this creature to the realm of Edyn... or the work of foolish cultists, or through the hubris of wizards searching the realms beyond Edyn.

Scholars and sages debate on the origin of these horrors, as they usually share traits with their original form. They have an insatiable hunger that leads them to devouring anything in their path. It can stuff its maw by grabbing everything and anything with its numerous limbs and tail. Similar to a snake, it can unhinge its jaw and stretch its form to consume massive objects. However, once an object has been swallowed by The Stareater, it seems to cease to exist. Allowing The Stareater to consume vast volumes larger than itself.

 Similar to other minions twisted by The Comet Lord, it has psionic powers and can tap into the power of hedrons. This allows The Stareater to open rifts through space and telekinetically move objects... usually into its maw.
