Boyar On War Bear

Description

The first hero of the Tzarev Empire!

Some people I’ve shown it to mentioned that the base looks quite large. However, this miniature (base included) is designed to fit perfectly on a 50×75 mm base or larger. It also works with round bases, since my models are meant to be compatible with many different games.

Every part of this miniature was made to be a delight for painters.
(And yes, I’m talking about people who actually enjoy painting. If you’re one of those who get bored and just want to finish quickly… you might hate me a little XD.)

I had to gather a ton of reference images, especially from Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine —all that beautiful Slavic culture. I must say that the Polish comedy series 1670 on Netflix (even though they definitely don’t sponsor us) has been a great source of inspiration for the clothing.
I might even sneak some background details inspired by the characters of the show into future sculpts. You won’t even notice XD

And as always, all the pieces come separated so you can assemble them however you like:

The war bear works well anywhere; it doesn’t require any special adjustments.
The boyar, however, probably won’t fit on a regular horse… I had to adjust the pose so the leg spread would sit properly on the bear.
The base can be placed on 50×75 mm bases or larger. Or you can use it with your usual scenery bases if it fits your style.
