For this miniature, I decided to leave aside excessive ornaments and flourishes. This is a hero meant to fit perfectly in the front rank of a regiment, regardless of the base size you use (which, honestly, is often the trickiest part).
In this case, rather than focusing on creating a miniature that would look good with a very elaborate scenic base, I went for a more practical approach. I concentrated on areas I want to improve — like making the cloth fall more naturally, to make life easier for you painters.
So, just so you can see that I do listen, the wolf’s fur this time is longer, and I experimented with new ways of placing and shaping it.
I’ve also avoided overloading the miniature with too many details, because I want to leave some room for painters to work their magic.
I hope you like it!
Landor.
